Vanagad, The Obsidian Spirit
Twin bodies manifesting a single spirit, Vanagad holds domain over the void- a generative realm that underpins the fabric of reality. Her tools are thread and loom, repairing and maintaining the connective tissue that ties one place to another. Fittingly, she is guardian of both the obsidian flame and the orphan weavers of the spider clan.
Vanagad costume: handwoven silk, cotton, rayon and reflective thread; found fabric, leather, hardware, beads, dye. 2021.
Qanun-loom: wood, hardware, made by Nick Szydlo.
